On Individuality.
Individuality. A term overused by today’s means, attempting to find its own discourse into meaning something special, something unique. However, in this system, there is little to no individuality. No uniqueness. One might think of dressing a certain way, claiming to be “special,” but really, it’s simply perpetuating a certain image already existing, and they don’t know that.
That is not to say I don’t fall under that system, however. For me, I am a living, walking contradiction, with multiple alter egos, for I myself cannot distinguish who I really am.
At times, I am a tough gangbanger from Oakland. Sometimes I am a highly civilized student who goes to Berkeley. Sometimes, an artist, and sometimes a pop-lock dancer. Hates discrimination, but uses discriminatory words. Loves nature and the countryside, but also the city life. With good thoughts comes evil ones, and classy becomes trashy.
Hypocrite? Perhaps. But I can say with a cup half full, that I see the cup half empty from both sides.
Hello Tumblr, we finally meet.
To my very own surprise, I have created this Tumblr. For reasons still yet undisclosed, this Tumblr shall be my Blogspot replacement. That is not to say, however, that Blogspot shall be neglected. In fact, I am quite fond of Blogspot, only because it feels more private, probably because nobody looks at my blog.
Anyhow, I have always condescended the likes of Tumblr people, only because they lack creativity, taking content from Reddit or 4chan and posting it everywhere as if they were special for finding content like that. It seems to be a really youth-driven thing, claiming to express individuality.
Whatever the case, let the posting begin.
